{"data":{"id":"us-ak/as-08.68.230","jurisdiction":"us-ak","citation":"AS 08.68.230","heading":"Use of title and abbreviation.","body":"(a) A person licensed to practice registered nursing in the state may use the title “registered nurse” and the abbreviation “R.N”.\n(b) A person licensed to practice practical nursing in the state may use the title “licensed practical nurse” and the abbreviation “L.P.N.”\n(c) [Repealed, § 15 ch 29 SLA 2014.]\n(d) A person who holds a temporary permit to practice as a licensed practical nurse shall use the title “Temporary Licensed Practical Nurse” and the abbreviation “TLPN.”\n(e) A person licensed to practice advanced practice registered nursing in the state may use the title “advanced practice registered nurse” and the abbreviation “APRN.”\n(f) A person licensed to practice advanced practice registered nursing in the state as a\n(1) certified registered nurse anesthetist may use the title “certified registered nurse anesthetist” and the abbreviation “CRNA”;\n(2) certified clinical nurse specialist may use the title “clinical nurse specialist” and the abbreviation “CNS”;\n(3) certified nurse practitioner may use the title “certified nurse practitioner” and the abbreviation “CNP”; or\n(4) certified nurse midwife may use the title “certified nurse midwife” and the abbreviation “CNM.”","path":["Title 8.
