{"data":{"id":"us-ak/as-25.25.104","jurisdiction":"us-ak","citation":"AS 25.25.104","heading":"Application of this chapter to resident of foreign country and foreign support proceeding.","body":"(a) A tribunal of this state shall apply AS 25.25.101 — 25.25.616 and, as applicable, AS 25.25.702 — 25.25.714, to a support proceeding involving\n(1) a foreign support order;\n(2) a foreign tribunal; or\n(3) an obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.\n(b) A tribunal of this state that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on the basis of comity may apply the procedural and substantive provisions of AS 25.25.101 — 25.25.616.\n(c) AS 25.25.702 — 25.25.714 apply only to a support proceeding under the convention. In such a proceeding, if a provision of AS 25.25.702 — 25.25.714 is inconsistent with AS 25.25.101 — 25.25.616, AS 25.25.702 — 25.25.714 controls.","path":["Title 25.
