{"data":{"id":"us-ak/as-44.33.120","jurisdiction":"us-ak","citation":"AS 44.33.120","heading":"Duties of the department.","body":"(a) [Repealed, § 84 ch 58 SLA 1999.]\n(b) The Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development shall\n(1) cooperate with organizations in the private sector for the promotion and development of tourism into and within the state;\n(2) coordinate with municipal, state, and federal agencies for the development of tourism resources in the state;\n(3) promote and develop the state's tourist industry;\n(4) cooperate with the private sector and the Alaska Tourism Marketing Board in the planning and execution of a destination tourism marketing campaign that is in the public interest;\n(5) promote the development of visitor industry facilities, both in the public sector and the private sector, through the use of state resources as appropriate;\n(6) plan and advocate for tourism and tourism development in coordination with the private sector, municipalities, state, and federal agencies;\n(7) administer a visitor information center located in Tok; and\n(8) conduct research related to tourism.\n(c) [Repealed, § 28 ch 90 SLA 1991.]\n(d) [Repealed, § 5 ch 76 SLA 2014.]","path":["Title 44.
