Code § 11-43-5.1","heading":"Abolition or Creation of Civil Service System, Etc., in Municipality Having Less Than 5,000 Inhabitants; Section in Pari Materia with Section 36-27-6.","body":"(a) Any law to the contrary notwithstanding, the governing body of any municipality, with a population of less than 5,000 persons, by resolution duly adopted, may abolish or create a civil service system or other personnel board for its officers and employees.
