Code § 12-19-173","heading":"Distribution of Docket Fees - Cases in Circuit and District Courts in Which Bond Forfeited.","body":"(a) The following distribution shall be made of docket fees in cases where the defendant forfeits bond in either the district court or circuit court:\n(1) Sixteen dollars ($16) to the Fair Trial Tax Fund.\n(2) Thirty-nine dollars ($39) to the State General Fund.\n(3) Five dollars ($5) to the county general fund.\n(4) Five dollars ($5) to the Advanced Technology and Data Exchange Fund.\n(b) Effective October 1, 2000, the docket fees for bond forfeitures in district and circuit courts shall be increased by five dollars ($5) and the additional fee shall be deposited into the Fair Trial Tax Fund.","path":["Title 12 Courts.","Chapter 19 Court Finances.","Article 4 Costs, Fees, Fines, Etc., in Criminal Cases.","Division 2 Court Fees."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=12-19-173","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"3d0bf23083cce634fe0633c1e327fe0f0d87633ecc3af88390f5b3ffde3da40b","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-172","next":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-174"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
