Code § 12-19-174","heading":"Distribution of Docket Fees - Felony Cases in Circuit Court.","body":"(a) The following distribution shall be made of docket fees for felony cases in circuit court:\n(1) Ten dollars ($10) to the Peace Officers’ Annuity Fund.\n(2) Sixteen dollars ($16) to the Fair Trial Tax Fund.\n(3) One hundred four dollars ($104) to the State General Fund.\n(4) Five dollars ($5) to the county general fund.\n(5) An arrest fee of five dollars ($5) to the State General Fund or to the state funds prescribed by law; except, that in cases initiated by county law enforcement officers, the arrest fee shall be distributed to the county general fund.\n(6) Thirty dollars ($30) to the District Attorney Fund or to the fund prescribed by law for district attorney fees.\n(7) Ten dollars ($10) to the Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Fund.\n(8) Five dollars ($5) to the Advanced Technology and Data Exchange Fund.\n(b) The additional five dollars ($5) assessed and collected in felony cases effective October 1, 2000, shall be distributed to the Fair Trial Tax Fund.","path":["Title 12 Courts.","Chapter 19 Court Finances.","Article 4 Costs, Fees, Fines, Etc., in Criminal Cases.","Division 2 Court Fees."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=12-19-174","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"b2d3fdb014e3bb68c9fb0da430bd2f010287803419dc5acdeb37a681158de628","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-173","next":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-175"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
