Code § 12-19-175","heading":"Distribution of Docket Fees - Misdemeanor Cases in Circuit Court.","body":"(a) The following distribution shall be made of docket fees for misdemeanors in circuit court:\n(1) Sixteen dollars ($16) to the Fair Trial Tax Fund.\n(2) Sixty-four dollars ($64) to the State General Fund.\n(3) Ten dollars ($10) to the county general fund.\n(4) Ten dollars ($10) to the District Attorney Fund or to the fund prescribed by law for district attorney fees.\n(5) Seven dollars ($7) to the Peace Officers’ Annuity Fund.\n(6) Five dollars ($5) to the Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Fund, except that the five dollars ($5) provided herein for the Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Fund shall not be assessed and collected in traffic or conservation cases.\n(7) Five dollars ($5) to the Advanced Technology and Data Exchange Fund.\n(b) The additional five dollars ($5) assessed and collected in misdemeanor cases in circuit court, effective October 1, 2000, shall be distributed to the Fair Trial Tax Fund.","path":["Title 12 Courts.","Chapter 19 Court Finances.","Article 4 Costs, Fees, Fines, Etc., in Criminal Cases.","Division 2 Court Fees."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=12-19-175","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"6000bb3952bca81480dc2df15cde3e883ee3276c8be01b3fae445a2546f065ae","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-174","next":"us-al/ala.-code-12-19-176"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
