Code § 13A-10-130","heading":"Interfering with Judicial Proceedings.","body":"(a) A person commits the crime of interfering with judicial proceedings if:\n(1) He engages in disorderly, contemptuous or insolent behavior, committed during the sitting of a court in its immediate view and presence, and directly tending to interrupt its proceedings or impair the respect due its authority;\n(2) He intentionally creates a breach of the peace or disturbance under circumstances directly tending to interrupt a court’s proceedings;\n(3) As an attorney, clerk or other officer of the court, he knowingly fails to perform or violates a duty of his office, or knowingly disobeys a lawful directive or order of a court;\n(4) Knowing that he is not authorized to practice law, he represents himself to be an attorney and acts as such in a court proceeding; or\n(5) He records or attempts to record the deliberation of a jury.\n(b) Interfering with judicial proceedings is a Class B misdemeanor.","path":["Title 13A Criminal Code.","Chapter 10 Offenses Against Public Administration.","Article 6 Offenses Relating to Judicial and Other Proceedings."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=13A-10-130","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"a3e54cd0dad6f375f18ba36a7524bd1a8dbe28302f191741f9918f6061007819","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-13a-10-129","next":"us-al/ala.-code-13a-10-131"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
