Code § 13A-12-291","heading":"Specific Crimes Warranting Suspension of Driver’s License.","body":"(a) A driver’s license shall be suspended pursuant to Section 13A-12-290 for conviction of, adjudication of, or a finding of delinquency based on, the following crimes:\n(1) Criminal solicitation to commit the crime of trafficking in specified substances under Section 13A-12-231 or unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance under subsections (c) and (d) of Section 13A-12-211.\n(2) Attempt to commit the crime of trafficking in specified substances under Section 13A-12-231 or unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance under subsections (c) and (d) of Section 13A-12-211.\n(3) Criminal conspiracy to commit the crime of trafficking in specified substances under Section 13A-12-231.\n(4) Trafficking in specified substances under Section 13A-12-231.\n(5) Unlawful possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance under subsections (c) and (d) of Section 13A-12-211.\n(b) The suspension of a driver’s license for driving under the influence of a controlled substance or under the combined influence of a controlled substance and alcohol pursuant to Section 32-5A-191 shall be governed by that section.","path":["Title 13A Criminal Code.","Chapter 12 Offenses Against Public Health and Morals.","Article 5 Drug Offenses.","Division 8 Suspension of Driver’s License for Certain Drug Related Violations."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=13A-12-291","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"6e5ca26f116ce2f104d11019c0c3358af9862eea2d7a93b62e7a6a3f42f8f5ff","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-13a-12-290","next":"us-al/ala.-code-13a-12-292"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
