Code § 15-18-175.1","heading":"Removal from Program and Return to Confinement; Reinstatement in Program.","body":"(a) If a defendant serving a sentence in a community punishment and corrections program is subsequently convicted in another case and sentenced to imprisonment and confinement in the Alabama Department of Corrections, the defendant shall be immediately removed from the supervision of the community punishment and corrections program and confined in the Alabama Department of Corrections until such time that the subsequent sentence of confinement is completed.\n(b) During the sentence of confinement, the community punishment and corrections sentence shall be tolled, and nothing prevents reinstatement in the community punishment and corrections program unless the court orders otherwise or the defendant becomes ineligible pursuant to the statute.","path":["Title 15 Criminal Procedure.","Chapter 18 Sentence and Punishment.","Article 9 Community Punishment and Corrections."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=15-18-175.1","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:54Z","sha256":"3da27e610dc403a28bd57968e53baf76868f5de867812fd3dfaf24ef9a5ffee5","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-15-18-175","next":"us-al/ala.-code-15-18-176"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
