Code § 20-2A-65","heading":"Secure Transporter Licensing.","body":"(a) A secure transporter license authorizes the licensee to store and transport cannabis and medical cannabis for a fee upon request of a licensee. A license does not authorize transport to a registered qualified patient or registered caregiver.\n(b) A secure transporter shall comply with all of the following:\n(1) Each employee who has custody of cannabis or medical cannabis shall not have been convicted of or released from incarceration for a felony under the laws of this state, any other state, or the United States within the past five years or have been convicted of a misdemeanor involving a controlled substance within the past five years.\n(2) A route plan and manifest shall be entered into the statewide seed-to-sale tracking system, and a copy must be carried in the transporting vehicle and presented to a law enforcement officer upon request.\n(3) The cannabis or medical cannabis shall be transported in one or more sealed containers and not be accessible while in transit.\n(4) A secure transporting vehicle may not bear markings or other indication that it is carrying cannabis or medical cannabis.\n(c) A secure transporter is subject to administrative inspection by a law enforcement officer at any point during the transportation of cannabis or medical cannabis to determine compliance with this article.","path":["Title 20 Food, Drugs and Cosmetics.","Chapter 2A Darren Wesley “Ato” Hall Compassion Act.","Article 4 Cultivation, Processing, and Dispensing of Medical Cannabis."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=20-2A-65","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:53Z","sha256":"50fb83068162427e795737533497e858e92b5f5369d3a71b01553666e9ba4737","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-20-2a-64","next":"us-al/ala.-code-20-2a-66"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
