Code § 22-1-4","heading":"Appointment of Subordinate Officers and Employees; Control of Expenditures.","body":"In the administration of the public health and quarantine laws of the state, the appointment of all subordinate officers and employees shall be made by the health officer or officers in authority, subject, however, to the approval of the State Board of Health or of a county board of health, in accordance with their respective jurisdictions.
