Code § 27-8A-9","heading":"Collection of Fees; Deposit in State Treasury.","body":"(a) The commissioner shall collect the following fees in the administration and enforcement of this chapter:\n(1) License renewal fees paid in connection with the biennial application for license renewal by producers and service representatives........... $70.\n(2) Late filing fee, to be paid by each producer and service representative failing to timely renew a license........... $50.\n(3) Provider authority initial filing fee, a one-time fee to be paid by each education course provider for authority to offer continuing education courses in this state........... $300.\n(4) Provider authority annual renewal fee, to be paid by each education course provider for continuation of authority to offer continuing education courses in this state........... $100.\n(5) Course approval filing fee, to be paid by the provider for the approval of each education course or program to be offered in this state (one-time fee per course, with no need for renewal)........... $50.\n(b) The fees collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited in the State Treasury to the credit of the Insurance Department Fund.","path":["Title 27 Insurance.","Chapter 8A Continuing Education Requirements."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=27-8A-9","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:51Z","sha256":"a82fccb3ba758dbafe226545884ca8f6d86f6e180d50d196e35609dab2858455","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-27-8a-8","next":"us-al/ala.-code-27-8a-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
