Code § 32-7C-22","heading":"Permit Requirements.","body":"(a) A person may not operate a TNC in the state without first having obtained a permit from the commission.\n(b) The commission shall issue a permit to each applicant that meets the requirements for a TNC under this article and may require the permit to be renewed annually.\n(c) A TNC operating under a municipal ordinance in a municipality of this state on June 30, 2018, may operate at any location in this state without the permit required under subsection (a) until the later of:\n(1) The thirtieth day after the date the permit process is adopted by the commission.\n(2) The date the TNC’s application for a permit under this section, submitted to the commission before the date described in subdivision (1), is approved or denied.\n(d) Any person who operates a TNC without having obtained a permit in accordance with this section is guilty of a Class C misdemeanor.","path":["Title 32 Motor Vehicles and Traffic.","Chapter 7C Transportation Network Company and Drivers; Insurance Requirements.","Article 2 Permit Requirements."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=32-7C-22","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:53Z","sha256":"3cc9e1177c4b6eab30bbafd8838231628eb7b5766bbcba221520c04b155bef14","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-32-7c-21","next":"us-al/ala.-code-32-7c-23"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
