Code § 34-20-16","heading":"Prohibited Acts; Penalties.","body":"(a) It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to:\n(1) Sell or fraudulently obtain or furnish any license or aid or abet therein;\n(2) To practice as a nursing home administrator under cover of any license illegally or fraudulently obtained or unlawfully issued;\n(3) Practice as a nursing home administrator or use in connection with his or her name any designation tending to imply that he or she is a nursing home administrator unless duly licensed to so practice under the provisions of this chapter;\n(4) Practice as a nursing home administrator or use in connection with his or her name any designation tending to imply that he or she is a nursing home administrator during the time his or her license issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be expired, suspended, or revoked; or\n(5) Otherwise violate any of the provisions of this chapter.\n(b) Such misdemeanor shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.","path":["Title 34 Professions and Businesses.","Chapter 20 Nursing Home Administrators."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=34-20-16","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"87f4e05f1a59c805194c41b79553ab97302a2f7c07f53d2a71462af4ca722e66","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-34-20-15","next":"us-al/ala.-code-34-21-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
