Code § 34-23-76","heading":"Repackaging, Relabeling, and Storing of Non-controlled Legend Drugs for Certain Residential Care Facility Patients.","body":"(a) The Board of Pharmacy may establish by rule protocols allowing a pharmacy in possession of a current retail pharmacy permit to repackage, relabel, and store any non-controlled legend drug for a patient residing in a residential care facility which does not have a pharmacy located on the premises.\n(b) For purposes of this section, a residential care facility means any of the following:\n(1) A convalescent home.\n(2) A nursing home.\n(3) An extended care facility.\n(4) A mental health or psychiatric facility.\n(5) A rehabilitation facility.\n(6) A developmental disability center.\n(7) An assisted living facility.\n(8) A speciality care assisted living facility.","path":["Title 34 Professions and Businesses.","Chapter 23 Pharmacists and Pharmacies.","Article 3 Pharmacies."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=34-23-76","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:53Z","sha256":"14b79656ebaaf363b9daab41db2550ba99bcf5e8e7be81d918b0249d0d18604f","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-34-23-75","next":"us-al/ala.-code-34-23-77"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
