Code § 34-30-104","heading":"Issuance of Multistate License.","body":"(a) Upon receipt of an application for a multistate license, the home state licensing authority shall determine the applicant’s eligibility for a multistate license in accordance with Section 34-30-103.\n(b) If the applicant is eligible pursuant to Section 34-30-103, the home state licensing authority shall issue a multistate license that authorizes the applicant or regulated social worker to practice in all member states under a multistate authorization to practice.\n(c) Upon issuance of a multistate license, the home state licensing authority shall designate whether the regulated social worker holds a multistate license in the bachelor’s, master’s, or clinical category of social work.\n(d) A multistate license issued by a home state to a resident in that state shall be recognized by all compact member states as authorizing social work practice under a multistate authorization to practice corresponding to each category of licensing regulated in each member state.","path":["Title 34 Professions and Businesses.","Chapter 30 Social Workers.","Article 4 Social Work Licensure Compact."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=34-30-104","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:54Z","sha256":"222a3f0922b85d1e13e240bec799eba779d2de418c56c54601dc3fb6ac521e8f","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-34-30-103","next":"us-al/ala.-code-34-30-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
