Code § 34-34A-15","heading":"Violations.","body":"(a) It shall be a misdemeanor for any person to:\n(1) Sell or fraudulently obtain or furnish any license or aid or abet therein.\n(2) Practice dietetics/nutrition or use the title dietitian/nutritionist under cover of any license illegally or fraudulently obtained or unlawfully issued.\n(3) Practice dietetics/nutrition or use the title dietitian/nutritionist or use in connection with his/her name any designation tending to imply that he/she is a dietitian/nutritionist unless duly licensed so to practice under the provisions of this chapter.\n(4) Practice dietetics/nutrition or use the title dietitian/nutritionist or use in connection with his/her name any designation tending to imply that he/she is a dietitian/nutritionist during the time his/her license issued under provisions of this chapter shall be expired, suspended, or revoked.\n(5) Otherwise violate any provisions of this chapter.\n(b) Such misdemeanor shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.","path":["Title 34 Professions and Businesses.","Chapter 34A Dietetics/Nutrition Practice Act."],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=34-34A-15","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-03T14:01:52Z","sha256":"0cfc44505875eb21968c123efd3120e4cbf2a52631c7b0792dd80403f41e5bf6","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-34-34a-14","next":"us-al/ala.-code-34-34b-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
