Code § 45-26-230.20","heading":"Salary and Expense Allowance.","body":"(a)(1) Deputies of the Sheriff’s Department of Elmore County shall be compensated on the basis of years of continuous service according to the following table:\nYears of Continuous Service | Monthly Salary | Monthly Expense Allowance\n0-3 | $890 | $50\n3-5 | $940 | $50\n5-7 | $990 | $50\n7-10 | $1,040 | $50\n10 or more | $1,090 | $50\n(2) The chief deputy shall receive an additional one hundred dollars ($100) per month, and fifty dollars ($50) per month expense allowance.\n(3) The assistant chief deputy shall receive an additional fifty dollars ($50) per month and fifty dollars ($50) per month expense allowance.\n(b) The salaries and expense allowances herein provided shall be the minimum compensation payable to such individuals, in lieu of any salary, expense allowance, or other compensation heretofore provided by law. Provided, however, deputies may also receive any future increases in compensation granted by the county commission.
