Code § 45-27-83.20","heading":"Schedule of Fees.","body":"(a) The Judge of Probate of Escambia County, in lieu of the fees prescribed by general law, shall charge and collect the following fees for the following services:\n(1) One hundred five dollars ($105) for the probate of a will.\n(2) One hundred five dollars ($105) for the administration of an intestate estate.\n(3) Sixty-five dollars ($65) for a name change.\n(4) Sixty-five dollars ($65) for legitimation.\n(5) One hundred forty-five dollars ($145) for a guardianship.\n(6) One hundred forty-five dollars ($145) for a conservatorship.\n(7) One hundred twenty-five dollars ($125) for an adoption.\n(8) Five dollars ($5) for claims against wills and estates.\n(9) Fifteen dollars ($15) plus five dollars ($5) per page to file a will.\n(10) Ten dollars ($10) for indexing.\n(11) Thirty dollars ($30) for notary recording.\n(12) Twenty-five dollars ($25) for Uniform Commercial Code instruments.\n(13) Five dollars ($5) for Uniform Commercial Code release.\n(14) Thirty-five dollars ($35) for plat recording.\n(b) Except as provided in subsection (a), the judge of probate shall continue to charge and collect the service fees that are prescribed by general law.","path":["Title 45 Local Laws.","Chapter 27 Escambia County.","Article 8 Courts.","Part 4 Probate Court.","Subpart 2 Fees"],"source_url":"https://alison.legislature.state.al.us/code-of-alabama?section=45-27-83.20","current_through":"Act 2026-611","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-10-10T05:41:29Z","sha256":"f31ca39827335f2a70d7b9633eb9445112094b8694d8aadfa74a8b012f29e680","source_id":"us-al","stale":false,"prev":"us-al/ala.-code-45-27-83.02","next":"us-al/ala.-code-45-27-84"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
