Code § 45-36-71","heading":"Terms of Office.","body":"Notwithstanding Act 65, 1950 Fifth Special Session (Acts 1950-1951 Special and Regular Sessions, p. 126), as amended, the terms of members of the Jackson County Commission shall be staggered as follows: Effective for the general election in 2012, two members of the county commission shall be elected for a term of four years and two members of the county commission and the chair shall be elected for a term of six years.
