(b) The members of the board shall be appointed by the Director of the Criminal Justice Institute and approved by the President of the University of Arkansas and shall include: (1) The President of the University of Arkansas or his or her designee; (2) The Director of the Criminal Justice Institute; (3) A member of the House of Representatives; (4) A member of the Senate; (5) Two (2) executives with law enforcement experience; (6) A national-level executive with law enforcement experience; (7) A prominent academician; and (8) A nationally prominent citizen.
