Code Ann. § 13-13-103","heading":"Duties","body":"The Arkansas Civil War Sesquicentennial Commission shall have the following duties:\n\n(1) To plan, develop, and carry out programs and activities appropriate to commemorate the sesquicentennial of the Civil War era and encourage the development of programs that ensure that the commemoration results in a positive legacy and has long-term public benefits;\n\n(2) To encourage interdisciplinary examination of the Civil War;\n\n(3) To facilitate Civil War-related activities throughout the state;\n\n(4) To encourage civic, historical, educational, economic, and other organizations across the state to organize and participate in activities to expand the understanding and appreciation of the significance of the Civil War;\n\n(5) To coordinate and facilitate the public distribution of scholarly research, publications, and interpretation of the Civil War; and\n\n(6) To provide technical assistance to local organizations and nonprofit organizations to further the commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War.","path":["AR Code","Title 13","Chapter 13"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"458365b23edad07c0c6798fee9b1b6d622b98efcef24b17d2076966a4a92c061","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-13-13-102","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-13-13-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
