Code Ann. § 14-118-306","heading":"Extension of powers - Purpose","body":"(a) By the order of the circuit court, the powers of the improvement district shall be enlarged and extended to embrace all the powers, rights, and privileges of drainage districts organized under the existing laws of the State of Arkansas and all amendments to the existing laws and, specifically, under Acts of 1909, No. 279, as amended.\n\n(b) The purpose of this extension of powers shall be to complete the improvements contemplated by the act of Congress and the plans of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, which were filed with and made a part of the petition for the establishment of the improvement district under subchapter 1 of this chapter, which plans constitute the plan of improvement of the district under the provisions of subchapter 1.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 118","Subchapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"04968db25f304b0ed9bce416ea8db8b10b31ac6d22e8d7c7da0780acac513ed4","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-118-305","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-118-307"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
