Code Ann. § 14-120-301","heading":"Legislative determination","body":"It is found and declared as a matter of legislative determination that:\n\n(1) The construction, operation, and maintenance of those flood control and drainage projects authorized by subchapter 2 of this chapter, as amended, as a separate operation by a levee district or drainage district, or levee and drainage district, from the project for which the district was originally created places an undue burden on the district, causes a duplication of work, and increases the cost of construction, operation, and maintenance; and\n\n(2) The construction, operation, and maintenance of the projects could best be carried out by consolidation of the flood control or drainage project authorized by subchapter 2 of this chapter, and acts amendatory thereof, with the levee or drainage project, or levee and drainage project for which the district was originally created.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 120","Subchapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"88c3493fa6e0ffeb581ba16212865a605a0866e646353a29721612764c277cdd","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-120-244","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-120-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
