Code Ann. § 14-184-104","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Acquire\" means obtain property rights by gift, purchase, devise, bequest, eminent domain, lease, sublease, assignment of lease, or any combination or variant of these means;\n\n(2) \"Assessed value\" means value as assessed for ad valorem property tax purposes;\n\n(3) \"Board\" means the board of commissioners appointed;\n\n(4) \"District\" means the central business improvement district created by ordinance of the municipality;\n\n(5) \"Governing body\" means the city council, board of directors, commission, or other municipal body exercising general legislative power in the municipality;\n\n(6) \"Municipality\" means any city having the population required by § 14-184-107 ;\n\n(7) \"Owner\" means record owner in fee simple;\n\n(8) \"Plan or plan of improvement\" means the general design plan, including any amendments to it that may be made from time to time of the proposed improvements in the district.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 184","Subchapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"d18431ed072d812fcf6f70815dd8011fcf6d1a500baa31bd105a6ac8601cba85","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-184-103","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-184-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
