Code Ann. § 14-287-102","heading":"Petition to create","body":"Before a municipal management district can be created, a petition must be submitted to the governing body of the municipality that includes the following:\n\n(1) A resolution to the governing body in support of the creation of the district and signed by at least ninety percent (90%) of the property owners within the district representing at least ninety percent (90%) of the appraised property value within the district and at least ninety percent (90%) of the privately held land area within the district;\n\n(2) The boundaries of the proposed district;\n\n(3) The specific purposes for which the district will be created;\n\n(4) The general nature of the work, projects, or services proposed to be provided;\n\n(5) The method of establishing assessments for the district;\n\n(6) A project cost estimate which shall not exceed two million dollars ($2,000,000); and\n\n(7) A budget for operating and paying for improvements.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 287"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"22a8f9a965255eefcbe266003e564f19adddb881612aab7a1534d96eb50a372a","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-287-101","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-287-103"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
