Code Ann. § 14-90-701","heading":"Insufficient tax to complete improvement","body":"(a) If the tax first levied is insufficient to complete or pay for a municipal improvement, the board of improvement shall report the amount of the deficiency to the governing body of the municipality, and it shall make a determination on whether or not to levy further taxes based on the assessment of benefits for a sum sufficient to complete or pay for the improvement, which shall be collected in the same manner as the first levy.\n\n(b) However, the taxes levied shall not exceed the total amount of the benefits assessed or the limitation of cost fixed in the petition or by this act.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 90","Subchapter 7"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"90e8860eb2eaa514a72a19f004f2d5b25b6d65395ad28d572bc125c3ad67b473","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-90-604","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-90-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
