Code Ann. § 14-94-103","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Board\" means any board of commissioners appointed pursuant to this subchapter;\n\n(2) \"Clerk\" means the clerk or recorder of a municipality;\n\n(3) \"District\" means any improvement district formed under the provisions of this chapter;\n\n(4) \"Facilities\" means any properties, real, personal, or mixed, tangible or intangible;\n\n(5) \"Governing body\" means any city council, town council, board of directors, or like body having legislative powers for any municipality;\n\n(6) \"Improvement\" or \"improvements\" means any lands, structures, improvements, fixtures, and appurtenant equipment acquired, constructed, improved, or equipped by a district;\n\n(7) \"Municipality\" means any city or incorporated town of the State of Arkansas;\n\n(8) \"Nearby municipality\" means any municipality located within ten (10) miles of any boundary of a district;\n\n(9) \"Person\" means an individual, corporation, partnership, association, firm, or other entity recognized by law as having capacity to own real property in the State of Arkansas;\n\n(10) \"Real property\" shall be construed to embrace all property subject to assessment for the purposes of this chapter.","path":["AR Code","Title 14","Chapter 94"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"1a7d223597536786b3674024a9d1a57eb419a7174c47ada9623cd92acc9d8ba1","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-94-102","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-14-94-104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
