Code Ann. § 15-20-902","heading":"Legislative intent","body":"It is found by the General Assembly that:\n\n(1) Litter provides nutrients that are beneficial to plant growth;\n\n(2) The proper utilization of litter allows the addition of nutrients to the soil at a low cost;\n\n(3) Improper utilization may result in a buildup of nutrients in the soil and result in the nutrients' leaving the soil and entering the waters within the state;\n\n(4) In order to encourage the proper utilization of litter, litter sources must be located and the amount of litter produced in Arkansas quantified; and\n\n(5) It is necessary for poultry feeding operations to register annually with the Department of Agriculture.","path":["AR Code","Title 15","Chapter 20","Subchapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"e6d2326f674d46db9e27fe5ed610c23d17e64acdd159499baa870b3f6c72b4df","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-15-20-901","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-15-20-903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
