Code Ann. § 16-81-203","heading":"Grounds to reasonably suspect","body":"The following are among the factors to be considered in determining if the officer has grounds to reasonably suspect:\n\n(1) The demeanor of the suspect;\n\n(2) The gait and manner of the suspect;\n\n(3) Any knowledge the officer may have of the suspect's background or character;\n\n(4) Whether the suspect is carrying anything, and what he or she is carrying;\n\n(5) The manner in which the suspect is dressed, including bulges in clothing, when considered in light of all of the other factors;\n\n(6) The time of the day or night the suspect is observed;\n\n(7) Any overheard conversation of the suspect;\n\n(8) The particular streets and areas involved;\n\n(9) Any information received from third persons, whether they are known or unknown;\n\n(10) Whether the suspect is consorting with others whose conduct is reasonably suspect;\n\n(11) The suspect's proximity to known criminal conduct;\n\n(12) The incidence of crime in the immediate neighborhood;\n\n(13) The suspect's apparent effort to conceal an article; and\n\n(14) The apparent effort of the suspect to avoid identification or confrontation by a law enforcement officer.","path":["AR Code","Title 16","Chapter 81","Subchapter 2"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"c627e2c955fa2e9ed7090b8dee261cbeec5081e63df506cfb5605624d01c8325","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-16-81-118","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-16-81-301"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
