Code Ann. § 17-38-302","heading":"Exemptions","body":"The licensing provisions of this chapter shall not apply to:\n\n(1) Plumbing work done by a property owner in a building owned and occupied by him or her as his or her home except when the license is required by local ordinance;\n\n(2) Work done on buildings whose primary use is agricultural and located outside the incorporated limits of any city or town unless the buildings are connected to a public water system, sewerage system, or natural gas utility system;\n\n(3) Minor repairs consisting of repairing minor working parts of plumbing, fixtures, or the removal of stoppages;\n\n(4) An individual certifying or repairing backflow devices within the scope of a plumbing system if the individual holds a certificate of competency from the Plumbing and Natural Gas Section of the Department of Health; or\n\n(5) The construction, installation, maintenance, repair, renovation, or removal of a storm sewer system not connected to a sanitary sewer system.","path":["AR Code","Title 17","Chapter 38","Subchapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"54c045d8d31bc25279a2e885766767e14404e451f63f2f913172961abfba2350","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-17-38-301","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-17-38-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
