Code Ann. § 17-43-101","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Continuing education unit\" means value given for participation in organized continuing education experience under reasonable sponsorship, capable direction, and qualified instruction approved by the Arkansas State Board of Sanitarians;\n\n(2) \"Environmental sanitation\" means the study, art, and technique of applying scientific knowledge for the improvement of the environment of man for his health and welfare;\n\n(3) \"Registered sanitarian\" means an environmental health professional educated in the field of environmental health, physical, and biological sciences who meets the requirements of § 17-43-303(a) and (b) and § 17-43-306 . Such persons may be specifically trained to organize, implement, and manage environmental health programs; and\n\n(4) \"Sanitarian-in-training\" means a person who meets the educational qualifications as provided in this chapter but does not meet the experience requirements of this chapter for registration as a registered sanitarian.","path":["AR Code","Title 17","Chapter 43","Subchapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"1a84b0568e08ae0a4a49f282bcd47494040c6b5f70bfdbf1623e36a57d1c2a25","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-17-42-702","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-17-43-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
