Code Ann. § 18-44-107","heading":"Subcontractors - Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter:\n\n(1) \"Contractor\" means any person who contracts orally or in writing directly with a person holding an interest in real estate, or such person's agent, for the construction of any improvement to or repair of real estate;\n\n(2) \"Material supplier\" means any person who supplies materials, goods, fixtures, or any other tangible item to the contractor or a subcontractor, or an individual having direct contractual privity with such persons;\n\n(3) \"Person\" includes an individual, a partnership, a corporation, a limited liability organization, a trust, or any other business entity recognized by law; and\n\n(4) \"Subcontractor\" means any person who supplies labor or services pursuant to a contract with the contractor, or to a person in direct privity of contract with such person.","path":["AR Code","Title 18","Chapter 44","Subchapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"037a2d179f5efe333728c2d3a168759d3a1ff9527c4706be54e239dc4b7e6236","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-18-44-106","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-18-44-108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
