Code Ann. § 19-7-901","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Agreement\" means a contract and shall include renewals and alterations of the contract;\n\n(2) \"County judge\" means the county judge of any county in this state;\n\n(3) \"Fund\" means, unless otherwise expressed, the government project fund established pursuant to § 19-7-906 ;\n\n(4) \"Governing body\" means the board, body, or persons in which the powers of a political subdivision as body corporate, or otherwise, are vested;\n\n(5) \"Political subdivision\" means any agency or unit of this state which is authorized to levy taxes or empowered to cause taxes to be levied;\n\n(6) \"Project\" means any resettlement project or rural rehabilitation project for resettlement purposes of the United States located within a political subdivision and shall include the persons inhabiting such a project; and\n\n(7) \"Service\" means such public and municipal functions performed for property in and persons residing within a political subdivision.","path":["AR Code","Title 19","Chapter 7","Subchapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"d83925e1570860ffdf6ea2949bf2c189569d2291fa82b086ef050f43dbfeeb19","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-19-7-801","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-19-7-902"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
