Code Ann. § 2-9-104","heading":"Powers","body":"The Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board may:\n\n(1) Plan and conduct a program of research, market development, and advertising designed to promote the catfish industry in Arkansas;\n\n(2) Use funds derived from the assessments imposed in this chapter for research, extension, market development, and advertising designed to promote the catfish industry in Arkansas, including salaries and administration expenses;\n\n(3) Have perpetual succession as a body politic and corporate and adopt bylaws for the regulation of its affairs and the conduct of its business;\n\n(4) Prescribe rules and policies in connection with the performance of its functions and duties;\n\n(5) Sue and be sued in its own name;\n\n(6) Purchase, sell, or lease property of every description, real, personal, or mixed, including buildings or other facilities and equipment for the conduct of its business;\n\n(7) Execute contracts and other instruments necessary or convenient in the exercise of its powers and functions; and\n\n(8) Do any other acts and things necessary or convenient to carry out the purposes of this chapter and to exercise the powers granted by this chapter.","path":["AR Code","Title 2","Chapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"f79da375dc99c03e83dc1e1280441671ba6bd52eedc59582d03fb2e4f2d4f1bb","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-2-9-103","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-2-9-105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
