Code Ann. § 20-14-201","heading":"Legislative policy","body":"This law is enacted to provide for a Governor's commission to carry on a continuing program to promote the interests of persons with disabilities in this state, in recognition that:\n\n(1) Arkansas has a public awareness of, and community interest in, the problems of persons with disabilities and that the awareness and interest must be heightened in order to enhance understanding of their problems;\n\n(2) There exists a need to assure that the special requirements of persons with disabilities are appropriately considered in state programs;\n\n(3) Existing programs for persons with disabilities require coordination to eliminate fragmentation of responsibility; and\n\n(4) There exists a critical need to provide individuals seeking information or assistance regarding services and programs for persons with disabilities with a simple means of obtaining appropriate information and referrals.","path":["AR Code","Title 20","Chapter 14","Subchapter 2"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"76d5a2292eb3241daed092befd52a7e60ab29566d8f8ca36e43927ca04eb5fe3","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-14-1004","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-14-202"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
