Code Ann. § 20-15-2302","heading":"Powers and duties","body":"The Maternal Mortality Review Committee shall:\n\n(1) Review pregnancy-associated deaths or deaths of women with indication of pregnancy up to three hundred sixty-five (365) days after the end of pregnancy, regardless of cause, to identify the factors contributing to these deaths;\n\n(2) Identify maternal death cases;\n\n(3) Review medical records and other relevant data;\n\n(4) Contact family members and other affected or involved persons to collect additional relevant data;\n\n(5) Consult with relevant experts to evaluate the records and data;\n\n(6) Make determinations regarding the preventability of maternal deaths;\n\n(7) Develop recommendations for the prevention of maternal deaths, including public health and clinical interventions that may reduce these deaths and improve systems of care; and\n\n(8) Disseminate findings and recommendations to policy makers, healthcare providers, healthcare facilities, and the general public.","path":["AR Code","Title 20","Chapter 15","Subchapter 23"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"2a66730bd2166bae7c99df0944481a5870bb63ceaf2354c003511e29cc17eea2","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-15-2301","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-15-2303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
