Code Ann. § 20-47-503","heading":"System of care","body":"The following guiding principles shall be incorporated into the system of care:\n\n(1) Services shall be child-centered and family-centered and give priority to keeping children with their families;\n\n(2) Services shall be community-based, with decision-making responsibility and management at the regional and local levels;\n\n(3) Services shall be comprehensive, addressing the child's physical, educational, social, and emotional needs;\n\n(4) Agency resources and services shall be shared and coordinated;\n\n(5) Services shall be provided in the least restrictive setting consistent with effective services and as close to home as appropriate;\n\n(6) Services shall be culturally and ethnically sensitive;\n\n(7) Services shall address the unique needs and potential of each child and shall be sufficiently flexible to meet highly individualized child and family needs;\n\n(8) Services shall promote early identification and intervention; and\n\n(9) Services shall be designed to protect the rights of children.","path":["AR Code","Title 20","Chapter 47","Subchapter 5"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"85b09effbb7a813b5b0016df9548376f4d23a6747f7626dac07403053d52832c","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-47-502","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-47-504"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
