Code Ann. § 20-48-603","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Individual with an intellectual and developmental disability\" means a person with an intellectual and developmental disability as defined in this section;\n\n(2) \"Intellectual and developmental disability\" means the same as defined in § 20-48-101 ;\n\n(3) \"Division\" means the Division of Developmental Disabilities Services or the staff of the division where the context so indicates;\n\n(4) \"Family Home I\" means a community-based residential home licensed by the division that provides room and board, personal care, habilitation services, and supervision in a single-family environment for not more than eight (8) individuals with developmental disabilities;\n\n(5) \"Family Home II\" means a community-based residential home licensed by the division that provides room and board, personal care, habilitation services, and supervision in a multifamily environment for more than eight (8) but fewer than sixteen (16) individuals with developmental disabilities;\n\n(6) \"Permitted use\" means a use by right that is authorized in residential zoning districts; and\n\n(7) \"Political subdivision\" means a county or municipal corporation and includes any boards, commissions, or councils governing land use on behalf of the political subdivision.","path":["AR Code","Title 20","Chapter 48","Subchapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"b42c64c0b42b414e357b5f51b284d18542a3f2eddb8181f7c979e6f9e7858b55","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-48-602","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-20-48-604"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
