Code Ann. § 22-4-406","heading":"Classifications of trails","body":"Trails in the Arkansas Trails System shall be classified according to their designated use and shall include, but not be limited to, the following classifications:\n\n(1) Interpretive trail - a route having natural, cultural, or historical points of interest identified to the public through the use of markers, plaques, brochures, or other readily recognizable means;\n\n(2) Hiking trail - a route designated, designed, and maintained for foot travel;\n\n(3) Bicycle trail - a route designated, designed, and maintained primarily for bicycle travel;\n\n(4) Motorcycle trail - a route designated, designed, and maintained primarily for trail activity by motorcycle;\n\n(5) Boat trail - a separate route or lane designated and maintained for trail activity by boat;\n\n(6) Canoe trail - a route designated and maintained for canoeing experiences;\n\n(7) Automobile trail - a properly marked roadway designated and maintained for recreational automobile travel;\n\n(8) Equestrian trail - a route designated, designed, and maintained for trail activity for horse riding;\n\n(9) Handicap trail - a route designated for trail activity by special groups as well as the general public; and\n\n(10) Recreational trail - a route designed to meet specific recreational and physical fitness needs.","path":["AR Code","Title 22","Chapter 4","Subchapter 4"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"e3fae042ac8116f5bb2904b6527c0d2e292e98ba3aff5abf01a6072001fa745d","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-22-4-405","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-22-4-407"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
