Code Ann. § 22-9-902","heading":"Legislative intent","body":"The General Assembly intends for this subchapter to:\n\n(1) Provide for the efficient procurement of services to provide for the online advertisement of notices of an intention to receive bids by local governmental units;\n\n(2) Promote the economical and efficient administration and completion of public works construction projects;\n\n(3) Provide for an impartial selection process in selecting statewide vendors to administer online advertisements of notices of an intention to receive bids by local governmental units;\n\n(4) Provide for fair and open competition in selecting vendors to accomplish the goals of this subchapter;\n\n(5) Prohibit anticompetitive conduct in vendors, including without limitation a vendor's having a direct interest in one (1) or more of the other vendors awarded a contract under this subchapter; and\n\n(6) Provide significant penalties for an individual or entity that violates this subchapter.","path":["AR Code","Title 22","Chapter 9","Subchapter 9"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"a45e1ed88eb7bc43aaa1763a800b1e2e42c17e50e5788bc556420c661503cf64","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-22-9-901","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-22-9-903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
