Code Ann. § 23-18-302","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Acquire\" means and includes to construct or acquire by purchase, lease, devise, gift, or other mode of acquisition;\n\n(2) \"Board\" means a board of directors of a corporation organized under this subchapter;\n\n(3) \"Corporation\" means a corporation organized pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter;\n\n(4) \"Federal agency\" includes the United States and any department, administration, commission, board, bureau, office, establishment, agency, authority, or instrumentality of the United States;\n\n(5) \"Member\" means the incorporators of a corporation and each person thereafter lawfully admitted to membership therein;\n\n(6) \"Obligations\" includes bonds, notes, debentures, interim certificates or receipts, and all other evidences of indebtedness issued by a corporation; and\n\n(7) \"Person\" includes any natural person, firm, association, corporation, business trust, partnership, federal agency, state or political subdivision thereof, or any body politic.","path":["AR Code","Title 23","Chapter 18","Subchapter 3"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"596967c36433cd4da82810a2f34b12b596635dc16ba714d756da5de18bf8a754","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-18-301","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-18-303"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
