Code Ann. § 23-18-803","heading":"Permissible broadband systems","body":"(a) An electric utility, an affiliate of an electric utility, or a person unaffiliated with an electric utility may own, construct, maintain, and operate a broadband system and provide broadband services on an electric utility's electric delivery system consistent with the requirements of this subchapter.\n\n(b) This subchapter does not require an electric utility to implement a broadband system, provide broadband services, or allow others to install broadband facilities or use the electric utility's facilities to provide broadband services.\n\n(c) An electric utility, a broadband affiliate, or a broadband operator may elect to install and operate a broadband system on part or all of its electric delivery system in any part or all of its certificated service territory.","path":["AR Code","Title 23","Chapter 18","Subchapter 8"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"5228c0beac711fd054c372ff8e04f10b280c4c764613a573525b485c7238b212","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-18-802","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-18-804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
