Code Ann. § 23-46-403","heading":"Applications","body":"When any of the following applications are filed with the Bank Commissioner, the sponsors of the applications shall give notice of filing in accordance with State Bank Department rules:\n\n(1) An application for the issuance of a new state bank charter;\n\n(2) An application for the merger or consolidation of one (1) or more banks into a state bank;\n\n(3) An application for the merger or consolidation of one (1) or more savings and loan associations into a state bank;\n\n(4) An application for the purchase by one (1) state bank of greater than fifty percent (50%) of the assets of another depository institution or an application for the assumption by one (1) state bank of greater than fifty percent (50%) of the liabilities of another depository institution; or\n\n(5) An application for the change of a state bank's place of business from one municipality to another.","path":["AR Code","Title 23","Chapter 46","Subchapter 4"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"8665b844fd244fece9fcb3e84cc0fad0fd2f3c1480fd8dd934fdf328ce7142fe","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-46-402","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-23-46-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
