Code Ann. § 24-10-605","heading":"Compulsory retirement","body":"(a) A member's employer shall determine the compulsory separation age for its employees.\n\n(b) Upon his or her separation from his or her last covered employment, a member with five (5) or more years of credited service in force who has attained his or her normal retirement age shall receive an annuity provided for in § 24-10-602 and shall have the right to elect an option provided for in § 24-10-603 .\n\n(c) A member hired on or after July 1, 2013, shall accrue ten (10) years of actual credited service in order to be eligible under this section.","path":["AR Code","Title 24","Chapter 10","Subchapter 6"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"e5d6b5f51c24d53ee46669c07f7faf7f1e84fc74a7afa4fa7f5de6c3edcb79fc","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-24-10-604","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-24-10-606"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
