Code Ann. § 26-26-1502","heading":"Definitions","body":"As used in this subchapter, unless the context otherwise requires:\n\n(1) \"Business corporation\" means a corporation incorporated under the Arkansas Business Corporation Act of 1987, § 4-27-101 et seq.;\n\n(2) \"Financial institution\" means a state bank or national bank, a savings and loan association, or a building and loan association as defined in subdivisions (3)-(5) of this section;\n\n(3) \"National bank\" means a bank chartered under the banking laws of the United States;\n\n(4) \"Savings and loan association\" or \"building and loan association\" means any financial institution or association established and operating under the authority of § 23-37-101 et seq., § 23-37-706 , or under any other appropriate state or federal law; and\n\n(5) \"State bank\" means a bank, trust company, or savings bank chartered under the banking laws of this state.","path":["AR Code","Title 26","Chapter 26","Subchapter 15"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"f4515824d6df2d48cb889cb6dcd63ba4040cfc079dc14cd01733747091182675","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-26-26-1501","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-26-26-1503"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
