Code Ann. § 27-15-101","heading":"Decal for deaf persons","body":"(a) The Department of Finance and Administration shall provide a motor vehicle license plate decal for deaf persons upon the payment of a fee of one dollar ($1.00) and satisfactory proof that the person's average loss in the speech frequencies of five hundred hertz to two thousand hertz (500 Hz-2,000 Hz) in the better ear is eighty-six decibels (86 dB) or worse by the International Organization for Standardization.\n\n(b) The department shall design a decal to indicate that the operator of the motor vehicle may be deaf.\n\n(c) The decals shall be made available beginning September 1, 1985.","path":["AR Code","Title 27","Chapter 15","Subchapter 1"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"38f6e0b65ff86d31c3825d9a7f6e1ef41ecddde911cfc83d01561544bca7cd1c","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-27-14-917","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-27-15-2201"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
