Code Ann. § 27-16-1208","heading":"Evidence of lawful status","body":"The Secretary of the Department of Finance and Administration shall require before issuing a voluntary enhanced security driver's license, voluntary enhanced security commercial driver's license, or voluntary enhanced security identification card valid documentary evidence that the applicant:\n\n(1) Is a citizen or national of the United States;\n\n(2) Is an alien lawfully admitted for permanent or temporary residence in the United States;\n\n(3) Has conditional permanent resident status in the United States;\n\n(4) Has an approved application for asylum in the United States or has entered into the United States in refugee status;\n\n(5) Has a valid, unexpired nonimmigrant visa or nonimmigrant visa status for entry into the United States;\n\n(6) Has a pending application for asylum in the United States;\n\n(7) Has a pending or approved application for temporary protected status in the United States;\n\n(8) Has approved deferred action status; or\n\n(9) Has a pending application for adjustment of status to that of an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence in the United States or conditional permanent resident status in the United States.","path":["AR Code","Title 27","Chapter 16","Subchapter 12"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"215ef1bac3185c89350d68260c2b1d0544ffa61f916a2e57a0a77c1186247775","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-27-16-1207","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-27-16-1209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
