Code Ann. § 28-68-403","heading":"Effect on existing powers of attorney","body":"Except as otherwise provided in this chapter, on January 1, 2012:\n\n(1) this chapter applies to a power of attorney created before, on, or after January 1, 2012;\n\n(2) this chapter applies to a judicial proceeding concerning a power of attorney commenced on or after January 1, 2012;\n\n(3) this chapter applies to a judicial proceeding concerning a power of attorney commenced before January 1, 2012, unless the court finds that application of a provision of this chapter would substantially interfere with the effective conduct of the judicial proceeding or prejudice the rights of a party, in which case that provision does not apply and the superseded law applies; and\n\n(4) an act done before January 1, 2012, is not affected by this chapter.","path":["AR Code","Title 28","Chapter 68","Subchapter 4"],"source_url":"https://oss-data-us.vaquill.ai/v2026.08/us_ar_statutes.parquet","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:41Z","sha256":"0a01f15741d2df3c33367e3846592fc0484928c40c2eae614202e281a86b9da3","source_id":"us-ar","stale":false,"prev":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-28-68-402","next":"us-ar/ark.-code-ann.-28-68-404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
